How is this epilogue for the giver?

- Ten years later-

Jonas rolled out of bed at the sound of his alarm clock. As soon as Jonas was ready for work he came downstairs and headed for the front door.
“I thought you had work at nine today.” His wife Sarah said curiously. Jonas was looking at his hand on the door handle.
“No, my boss called me in early. I’ll be home at five, so I can make it to Zach’s baseball game.” Jonas said nervously, he hated lying.
“Alright, I’ll see you then.” Sarah replied. Jonas got in his car turning on the radio. His favorite station was already on and he started to hum along with the song playing while tapping his fingers on the steering wheel. Before he knew it he was there. Jonas sighed and climbed out of the car grabbing brightly colored flowers that were on the car seat next to him. Jonas walked along in the freshly cut grass until he came upon Gabriel’s headstone.
“Hi there Gabe. I hope you’re doing well. This new place is just amazing” – Jonas stopped for a moment for it had begun to rain. “I wish you could experience this life it’s so different. You would have loved it here. And you would have loved Sarah and especially Zach. Zach, my son, reminds me so much of you Gabe. And…” Jonas couldn’t continue he was choked up and the rain began to beat down on him, he started to cry. Jonas slowly bent down and gently placed the flowers on the headstone ignoring the ponding rain. Jonas straightened up and walked back to the car. Jonas dried his face with an extra shirt he had lying in his car. Jonas stared at the rain. Just a few years ago the giver had met him in this exact spot. He remembered the news that the giver had delivered to him. That the community he had once lived in did not survive, they perished dealing with the memories that were left behind when Jonas had left. Jonas couldn’t comprehend this but, he accepted it. He wasn’t sure what would happen after he escaped but he did not understand how everything just fell apart. He thought about his friends and family Asher, Fiona, and Lily who also perished. Jonas remembered begging the giver to stay with him but the giver refused and told Jonas he had to be somewhere to be and left Jonas at the cemetery. Jonas looked out now past the rain, the trees, past everything and saw where his community used to be. His thought was broken by his ringing phone. He looked at the caller id it was home, most likely Zach who called when he woke up. Jonas answered.
“Hey, how are ya Zach?” Jonas said driving away not looking back.

I have trouble with getting up early in the morning, tips?

I often go to bed pretty late, but on average I get about 7 hours of sleep. When I have to get up in the morning, I always have trouble, no matter how motivated I am. Does anybody know any good tips for getting out of bed? I even tried setting an alarm clock with a disk that flies into the air, when the alarm sounds, you have to go catch/find the disk. This worked for a few months, then I just got so used to the alarm sound, I just slept through it!

What's the name of this movie?

Does anyone know of a 1980′s or 1990′s film that I saw on the Disney channel a long time ago. It starts with an alarm clock ringing early in the morning and a knock at the door and a woman answers it and see that it’s her landlord saying her rent is late. She blows her nose with a tissue and says she’ll give it to him after her exercise class while at class she faints and is taken away in an ambulance. After she’s checked out at the hospital the paramedic that helped her takes her to his apartment so he can take care of her. They are eating spaghetti when she see’s a ghost there and the ghost she can only see and hear wants her to help him solve his murder. The ghost looks like a detective and the woman has brown curly hair and wares leg warmers in the beginning. That’s all I remember since it was so long ago It was probably rated PG and a family movie since it aired on the Disney channel, but I don’t think it was made by Disney. Any suggestions would be helpful to me. It’s a great murder mystery for the whole family to enjoy with a happy ending for everyone except the ghost because he’s dead but at least he can cross over though!

Is this a good essay about my first day of high school?

The beeping of my alarm clock sounded like a countdown. The first day of high school was only two hours away. I was excited, but a lot more nervous. I got out of bed, got ready, and then was on my way to the bus stop. All I could think of are the stories I heard about high school being so horrible with all the strict teachers, the really hard tests, and of course being a freshman doesn’t help either. The bus ride to the school was only ten minutes, but it seemed a lot longer. When we finally got there, I was more nervous than ever. The day ahead of me was about to get a lot more complicated though with locker trouble, finding a seat at lunch, and getting lost.

Before long, it was time to get off the bus. When I got off, I saw that there were two doors. I wasn’t sure which one to go in so I just picked one. Turns out I picked the one that led me to the C hall, when I was supposed to go to the A hall. I walked around lost for about fifteen minutes until I finally found my locker. When I got there, I forgot how to open it. After five minutes of trying to figure it out, I finally got it open. I grabbed my books and went to class. The next locker break I couldn’t find my locker combination. I then realized I accidentally left it in my locker. I had to go back to my homeroom teacher and ask for the combination again. I was late for my next class by ten minutes, which is not a very good start.

Afterwards, it was lunch time. I dropped off my books at my locker, and walked down with a friend. We were a little late when we got there so we ended up sitting somewhere we didn’t want to because the tables were already filled up. We went up to get our lunch and came back to find our chairs were gone. We soon found out getting up meant risking your seat. So we had to walk to another table and get new chairs and bring them all the way back to our table. The whole lunch period everyone was talking about how their day went so far. Most of them were complaining, including me. Then the bell rang and it was time to go to sixth period. I really didn’t want lunch to end. But on the other hand, atleast there were only 3 periods left of the day.

Finally, it was the end of the day. Finding my next 3 classes were easier. I still wasn’t in time, but neither was the other kids. When my 8th period ended, it was a huge relief. I thought the day was finally over. But I still had to get on the bus again to go home, therefore it still wasn’t completely over . I went to my locker, grabbed my book bag and checked to make sure I didn’t lock the combination in there again. I had no clue which way to go, so I followed the other people. When I got outside, all the buses were in line. I walked back and forth trying to find mine, or atleast someone who was on the same bus as me. After most of the kids already found their bus, I started to get nervous. I still couldn’t find mine. Finally I saw someone who also took my bus. He was standing there clueless too. After a couple minutes, we finally found it. Our bus wasn’t in line like all the others, it was behind some of the other buses. When I got on, I knew the day was really over.

In conclusion, my first day of high school was a challenge. It’s a new school with new people, new teachers, new subjects, and new schedules. I also missed the school orientation so I was less experienced than most of the other students. I faced many problems such as locker trouble, finding a seat at lunch and keeping it, and getting lost. It was a long day, but I can now say I survived freshman year.

Which alarm clocks will help me wake up 4:45AM three days a week?

I have to wake up extremely early 3 days a week an my alarm clock(s) just don’t cut it. I’ve already woke up late for my new job that requires me to get there by 5:45AM, and there is a 30 minute travel time.

I use my cellphone and an amateur alarm clock that I got for christmas, a Disney Princess clock as a matter of fact, and I seem to have mastered how to turn each off while I’m sleeping.

Ipod won't play alarm clock when on brookstone dock!?

I have the iDesign® Slimline Music System for iPod® and iPhone® Devices, made by brookstone. I have the retro alarm clock app for my ipod which is meant to work for the brookstone docks. But when my ipod is docked, the alarm clock doesn’t work. the ipod will say that the alarm went off and gives me the option of sleep or turning off the alarm, but there will be no sound. Is there some settings i have to change on the ipod or the dock to make the alarm play through the dock speakers?

Need creative thinkers with this request Help?

Alright, I need you to describe in intense detail what it’s like waking up really early in the morning to the sound of your alarm clock. Please use descriptive and funny words and put into story form.

Poor example: Johnny wakes up to the ear-defending noise that might as well be the apocalypse. Moaning out, he brings his wrath upon the mechanical device simply doing his own bidding.

No need to get descriptive on how he gets out of bed and such. Just up until the alarm clock is silent, and preferably still in one piece.

Thanks!
